It was wet and miserable yesterday and not wanting to be caught out by flooding rivers again, I took off to George to pick up the lap top that was getting connected. Our car which is also run by microchips and occasional beeps needed some of attention as well so I thought I would make the best of a drizzly overcast day.Our last stop was coffee at the House of Flavour. I don’t know what it is about George but the coffee always tastes better. We sat in front of the log fire and I ordered a meat and vegetable soup which came with ciabata (sp) bread and a side order of cheese croquettes. Jono had ice cream and chocolate sauce, but complained about the sprinkle of nuts (must remember that one) and ate most of my soup. The coffee is good, the service is good and their soup is a whole lot better on a rainy day in front of the fire.
This is currently one of my favourite coffee shops. Another regular stop on the way home was takeaway hake and chips from Mr Khai in Sedgefield.
